Sara's Narrow Escape.

Boston, December 16.—Sara Bernhardt narrowly escaped serious injury last evening in the play of "Camille."

During the last act, while she was lying upon a lounge, a large mantel-piece, on which were glasses, etc., supposed to contain her medicine, began to totter.

The audience saw the imminent danger of the actress, and suppressed exclamations ran through the house. This probably attracted Mlle. Bernhardt's attention to the matter, and she quickly left her dangerous position just as the mantel fell with a crash. The curtain was lowered, the stage cleared of debris, and the death scene was completed, minus the mantel.
