Full Text

Yesterday Mr. Wilkes being quite recovered from his illness, contracted by overmuch fatigue and confinement, viewed all the parts of the inside of the King's Bench prison, the chapel, &c. and read several petitions from the poor prisoners, earnestly soliciting his service in Parliament, towards obtaining an act of insolvency the ensuing session, which were politely received, with a promise of his endeavours for that purpose.
Mr. Wilkes likewise viewed and examined a large commodious cellar, in order to lay in a stock of choice wines, for entertaining his friends during confinement, which is conjectured will continue about a month.
