Full Text
Startling Statement. Dr. Trousseau, of Paris, has been so much struck with the ravages which diseases of the heart are making, and the great prevalence of these diseases—it is said not a single intellectual man, I mean man in intellectual professions, is exempt from them in some form or another that he has determined to turn his whole attention to their study. He is informed of the entrance into the hospital of every patient with the disease, visits him, and, if he dies, Dr. Trousseau makes the autopsy with the utmost care.—Paris Cor. N. O. Picayune.
