Full Text

Hon. Simon Greenleaf, late Royall Professor of Law at Cambridge College, has been promoted to the Dane Professorship, held by Judge Story; and Hon. William Kent, late Circuit Judge in New-York, is appointed to the place held by Mr. Greenleaf. The Massachusetts papers speak in the highest praise of this arrangement.

Mr. Greenleaf, who, it is understood is a professor of religion in connection with the Episcopal church, has, we observe, lately written a work, which, from the character and occupation of the author, cannot fail to be sought and read. It is entitled, "An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists, by the Rules of Evidence administered in Courts of Justice, with An Account of the Trial of Jesus."
