Col. Crigger Will Leave Philippines

Col. H. J. Crigger, who has been on duty the last several years in the Philippines, has been transferred to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, relatives here have been advised.

Col. Crigger entered the army as a private prior to the first World War and won promotions until he attained the rank of full colonel.

For his exceptional service in training the Philippine army, Col. Crigger was awarded the Legion of Merit medal by the president of the new republic. He was awarded a similar medal by his own government.

Col. Crigger is to sail from Manila on September 19, local relatives have learned.
