HOME WORK IN BATESVILLE SCHOOLS

The Batesville public schools are giving credit this year for work done by the pupils in the home. Practically all the pupils are doing some home work, while a great many are doing two or three kinds of work regularly through the quarter. Every child should be taught to work and to regard work as honorable. To be able to work with the hands is as important as to be able to think with the head. Parents are urged to encourage their children not only to do their school work well, but to do their home work well also.

Pupils who make eight honor certificates during the year will be promoted without final examination; or, they make six honor certificates and four home work certificates properly signed by parents, stating that they have done well during the quarter certain home work, they will be promoted without final examination.
