COMMENCEMENT WEEK.

Commencement week is a long week for some of the seniors who want to get home or who need the time to replenish their pocket books or look up positions. There are many students to whom the greater portion of the exercises of the week mean nothing; these exercises are thoroughly disliked and dreaded by these students.

With the good of the student in mind many of the larger institutions of learning are dispensing with much of the traditional commencement exercises and consequently shortening the required time that students are expected to remain at the "exercises" for which so many of the students do not care. The student who is expecting to go out to work would enjoy a few days at home more than the many commencement exercises in which he is not in the least interested.
