Since I saw the proposals to enlarge the Star, I have taken some pains to increase its number of patrons; and while the agents were called on to obtain their eight or ten I thought others ought not to be idle, and I have obtained twenty.

ReubeN Allen.

N. B. My engagements are such that I cannot comply with the proposals made by Br. Sutton to the Q. M. with regard to visiting the churches and preaching to them on the subject of F. Missions &c., yet I shall do all that I can consistently with my other engagements.
