SPLENDID SPIRIT
Two sessions today and the twenty-fourth annual convention of the three auxiliaries of the A. M. E church that have been meeting at Big Bethel will go down in history as one of the greatest ever.
Highlights of the meeting include the excellent reports of Sunday School, Missionary, and A. C. E. league departments despite the depression; an increased interest and determination to get behind Morris Brown college financially and make it the greatest church institution of higher learning; and the state choir contest in which the Big Bethel choirs regained much of their old time glory, winning several events and all but displacing First A M E. of Athens in the championship division.
Practically every session was jammed with instructive lectures, talks and demonstrations. Harmony prevailed throughout and all of the ministers expressed themselves as being 100 per cent behind Bishop Fountain's program to build the A M. E. denomination in Georgia to greater heights
