EDUCATOR-CHURCHMAN AT CONCORD BAPTIST CHURCH—Dr. Benjamin Mays, President of Morehouse College (second from left) received warm greetings at Concord Baptist Church of Christ, Brooklyn, Sunday. Left to right above are the Rev. Gardner C. Taylor, pastor, Dr. Mays, Mrs. Gardner C. Taylor and the Rev. Jerome D. Harris, associate pastor. Dr. Mays delivered an inspiring Educational Day address at the church whose congregation presented him a substantial check to add to the educational fund of Morehouse. He also received a copy of "Lead Kindly Light" by Vincent Sheean from the Sisterhood Club of Concord. The prominent churchman-educator is in the midst of a busy speaking tour which has taken him to Fort Wayne, Ind., Akron, O., and S. C. He is scheduled at Berea College, Plymouth, N. H., and Boston U. He will receive an honorary degree at the latter school where he will be at the convocation and dedication of the new chapel of the School of Religion March 13.
