Dr. Benjamin Mays, President of Morehouse College, received warm greetings at Concord Baptist Church of Christ, Brooklyn, Sunday. Rev. Gardner C. Taylor, pastor, Dr. Mays, Mrs. Gardner C. Taylor and Rev. Jerome D. Harris, associate pastor, were present. Dr. Mays delivered an inspiring Educational Day address. The congregation presented him a substantial check to add to the educational fund of Morehouse. He also received a copy of "Lead Kindly Light" by Vincent Sheean from the Sisterhood Club of Concord. Dr. Mays is in the midst of a busy speaking tour which has taken him to Fort Wayne, Ind., Akron, O., and S. C. He is scheduled at Berea College, Plymouth, N. H., and Boston U. He will receive an honorary degree at the latter school where he will be at the convocation and dedication of the new chapel of the School of Religion March 13. His subject will be "Religion and Racial Tension."
