Full Text

An Incident.-A party from the White Mountain Station House, lately, on making the pilgrimage to the top of the Mountain, met a party from the opposite side, who had also wended their way up for the purpose of contemplating the glories of nature in this rugged spot. The two parties numbered 75 to 100. Some one suggested that all join in singing a hymn. It was acceded to at once-and the noble old tune of "Old Hundred" was soon echoing and re-echoing through the windings and fastnesses of these grand old mountains, in strains that had never resounded there before, in the following sublime words:

From all that dwell beneath the skies,
Let the Creator's name arise;
Let the Redeemer's praise be sung,
In every land, by every tongue.
