Maidstone.

Town meeting was held as warned on Tuesday March 4th. The officers were elected and the business transacted in a very short time. Josiah H. Benton was chosen Moderator, and the following officers were elected:

Clerk and Treasurer—J. W. Webb

Selectmen—S. W. Allin, Alfred Hall, E. B. Beach

Constable—Chas. Hall

Listers—Horace Adams, Ed. Stevens, Frank Gotham

Text book Committee—J. H. Benton, S. W. Allin

Superintendent—A. Smith

Trustee—J. H. Benton

Town Grand Juror—H. Lamkin

Agent—J. H. Benton

Overseer of the Poor—G. F. Martin
