To Our Friends.
Now that the long winter evenings are at hand, it is a good time for those who feel an interest in supporting a good county paper, to subscribe themselves and induce their neighbors to do so, as they have ample time for reading. More especially would we call upon those who desire to see a Democratic paper sustained in this County, to exert themselves in its behalf. It is well known to our readers that we get none of the county printing, which is the main support of a county paper, and have to rely upon our subscription list for support. We are bold to say that we give more reading matter for the same money than any other paper in this or the adjoining counties, and we intend that no effort shall be spared on our part, to keep our readers posted in all matters of interest which may be transpiring around us. Congress and the Legislature will be in session during the winter months, and we shall endeavor to keep our readers advised of their transactions. Send in the Subscriptions and we pledge ourselves that the exertions of our friends shall be met with a corresponding effort on our part to make the Democrat all that they desire.
