SHOULD BE CULTIVATED
The harmony that prevailed during the session of the recent State convention should be cultivated by the press of the State in order that every seeming discordant opinion among those who have heretofore affiliated as democrats may be completely and forever removed. Harsh criticisms do not convince under any circumstances, and certainly no policy could be more mistaken than to indulge in them now. Before the meeting of the convention we heard that alliance and non-alliance democrats were so wide apart in their views on financial reform that it would be impossible to bridge the difference, but no sooner was the convention called to order than it was seen that these elements in the democratic party were as one on this great question, and all doubt disappeared like mist before the rising sun. All are in favor of financial reform and are determined to bring it about inside of the democratic party.
