GUNMEN'S
DEATHS
New York, Nov. 13.--Death in the electric chair was the penalty demanded today by Assistant District Attorney Frank Moss for Harry Horowitx, alias "Gyp the Blood;" Louis Rosenberg, alias "Lefty Louis;" Frank Muller, alias "Whitey Lewis," and Frank Cirofici, alias "Dago Frank,"
the four gunmen accused of murdering Herman Rosenthal at the command of ex-Police Lieutenant Charles Becker.
As Mr. Moss, who had conducted the case against the doomed Becker, proceeded, three of the gunmen cast sidelong glances at "Lefty Louie" who was reported on the verge of weakening and confessing as the result of influence brought upon him by his young wife.
Mr. Moss pictured the gunmen as blood thirsty wretches who, to protect their friend, "Big Jack" Zelig, the East Side gang leader, who was recently assassinated, took the commission to kill Rosenthal and that the payment of Becker's $1,000 for the murder was of secondary consideration.
Despite the menace attached to testifying against the gunmen, Mr. Moss said that the state could easily prove all its allegations against the men.
