GOVERNOR NICHOLLS,

The Governor has been in wretched health for several months, and was confined to his bed for some time by a neuralgic affection. So severe have these attacks become that it was necessary for him to seek rest and a change of climate for a few weeks in the mountains of Virginia. Several of his children have been ill, and they too required this invigorating change. The Governor and family left the city last evening, via the Jackson Road, for Fincastle, Va., where, we trust, all of his good family may speedily recover health. If any important matters of State should require his presence here, he will return whenever needed.
