COLUMBUS, O., March 7.—Senator Iden to-day introduced a bill providing for county hospitals in all counties where there are none now. The Governor appointed S. L. Lake, of Licking county, to succeed E. J. Pocock, who resigned as Member of State Reformatory Trustees at Mansfield, and J. L. Cameron, of Union, member of the Soldiers' Home Board at Sandusky.
In the House this evening Mr. Olmstead introduced a bill to extend the soldiers relief law to soldiers of the Mexican war and all others. Mr. Baird introduced a bill making it a crime to run the discharge from a paper or pulp mill into any stream in the State. Mr. Pudney introduced a bill requiring street railway companies to place guard rails about the trucks of their motors to keep persons from falling under the wheels. Mr. Ely introduced a bill establishing a State weather and crop bureau. Mr. Thomas of Stark county, has a bill ready to introduce requiring coal operators to weigh coal for paying miners before it is screened.
