A Sister Murdered by her Brother in Highland County Ohio.

The Hillsborough Gazette gives the following particulars of a horrible murder perpetrated in Brush Creek township, Highland county, Ohio, on Monday last:

Harrison Wisecup, the young man charged with the murder, and Lydia, the murdered girl, and two small children, not above six years old, were left alone on the day mentioned. It appears that Harrison and his sister had some difficulty, he scoffed her, and then started to go to "scheming," about a quarter of a mile distant. He says that he returned home about 2 o'clock. In going to the stable to feed the horses, he found the dead body of Lydia in the hay mow. On examination he did not say that he had struck his sister during the difficulty with prior. John McCoppin, one of the witnesses examined by the coroner's jury, testified that he was with Harrison about 2 o'clock, and that he inquired of him if he had seen Lydia. He spoke of their words in the morning, and said he had "skited" her once or twice, and likely she had gone off. On his examination young Wisecup denied having told anyone that he struck her with a pitchfork. The works of violence on the body were a terrible wound on her right temple about two inches deep as near as possible, and the left cheek bone was cut low, which had bruised and broken the skin. The coroner's verdict was that she came to her death by hands of some person or persons unknown. Young Wisecup fled, and was arrested on Tuesday evening, at Sunfish Hill, about ten miles from his home. He is now in jail awaiting further examination.
