Fund Total
Now $100,000
The united fund drive for Richland Homes reached a total of $100,000, Wednesday as the returns were reported from the general drive now under way
According to drive leaders, the amount is encouraging considering the number of cards worked. However, they are concerned about contacts to be made to additional prospects. Approximately 850 prospects have been seen, leaving at least a thousand to be contacted. A number of cards are in the hands of workers and about 500 are in the office for workers assignments.
Anyone who is willing to make even a few contacts is urged to report to the Richland Homes office and to select the prospects they might prefer. After this Friday, the 17th, the Richland Homes office will be located in the Chamber of Commerce building next to Reynold's grocery. Workers are reminded to report at the office unless attending special report meetings.
The best coverage on contacting prospects has been made largely in rural areas. They include Sidney north, Sidney south, Hay Draw, North Dakota; Yellowstone Township, North Dakota; Fairview southwest; Nohly-Fairview; Cartwright; Lambert-Enid, West Richland County; Froid; Medicine Lake; Crane and Savage.
Areas where limited contacts have been made or where limited funds have been reported include the three City of Sidney teams, Fairview City, Eastside, Brorson-Girard; Richey, East Montana-Andes, South Culbertson-Sioux Pass, Bainville, Alexander and Reserve. The Advance Drive which largely includes Sidney business firms and institutions has made fair progress. Slightly over half of these prospects have contributed over $50,000. However, very little has been received from non-advance prospects and the reason is due to lack of workers.
Chairman Nels Bach and Co-Chairman Harry Johnson, have indicated that regular report meetings are planned each week. The dates will be announced thru press, radio and TV. Workers are urged to attend these important report meetings so that special drive instructions can be presented, plus making a check on any missed prospects within each area.
