Full Text
A recent Chinese murder trial in St. Louis brought out the fact of the existence of a class of "high binders" among the yellow fellows who would murder a man for $5. The good people of St. Louis are very much horrified. It is amusing to read the awe stricken comments of the St. Louis papers on the dreadful discovery. One of the journals in question which used to lecture us out here on the coast some time ago because we didn't show love for "the little brown man," asks "can this be true?" Yes, indeed, and it is true, and you've just begun to find them out. And we are glad of it. You never would acknowledge or believe it till they got among you and started to cut up their didos. We hope they will give you a benefit. Nothing else will open your eyes.
