By a gentleman who left Brussels very lately we are informed, that, notwithstanding the many Imperial reports of victories gained over the Turks in the present war, the Latins have actually had the advantage over the Imperialists in almost every action; and this success is so little disagreeable to some part of the Emperor's subjects, that public rejoicings were made in Brussels on a late defeat of the imperialists.
In almost every war in which the Turks have been hitherto engaged, it was their military system to act on the defensive. In the present war they act principally on the offensive, owing to the very rapid improvement in the use of artillery, in which they now equal the most expert nations.
