The text for the morning sermon was Matt. 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The visitors present were Mrs. Charles Beasley, 4th Ave. So., and Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, 923 Emerson Ave. N., of this city, and Mr. Fred Jacoway of Fort Smith, Ark. The new members were Mr. Willie Pierson, Miss Betty Cannon, and Miss Agnes White.
"God's Trombones", by Johnson and Ringwald was presented by the senior choir during the evening service. The parts of the preacher and the prayer leader were played by Rev. Stanley King and Mrs. Bertha Smith. The program was very well attended.
Zion Church School begins at 9:30 a. m. each Sunday morning. The Baptist Training Union meets at 6:30 p. m. Prayer services are held each Wednesday evening at 7:30. You are always welcome at Zion, "the friendly church."
