MEMBERS OF CONGRESS FROM N. CAROLINA.

RALEIGH, August 20.

We have not yet heard from all the Congressional Elections. It may be safely concluded, that Mr. Blackledge is re-elected for Newbern district; Mr. Alston for Halifax district; Dr. Alexander for Salisbury district; Col. Winston for the Salem district; Mr. Holland for the Morgan district; and Mr. M. D. Williams for the Caswell district. The latter gentleman, we believe, had no opposition.

The elections in Edenton, Edgecomb, Wilmington and Fayetteville districts have been pretty strongly contested. We shall probably hear the decision from Edgecomb and Edenton for our next publication.

We understand Duncan M'Farland is elected to Congress for Fayetteville district, by a majority of about 100.

The Wilmington paper says, "We have not yet been enabled to obtain a correct statement of the votes given in this district for a Member of Congress: there is, however, but little doubt of the re-election of the Hon. James Gillespie."—[Raleigh Register.

Warrenton District. The Hon. Nathaniel Macon is re-elected without opposition.

Halifax District.—Willis Alston has a majority of 663 votes in Halifax, Northampton, and two of the Separate Elections in Bertie. There is no doubt but he will be elected by a great majority over J. M. Benford.

Tarborough District.—Edgecomb gave almost an unanimous vote to T. Blount; Pitt gave Mr. Kennerly 477 and Mr. Blount 223, but as we have no other returns, it is not known who is elected.

Salisbury District.—Dr. N. Alexander is re-elected without opposition.

Iredell, Stokes, &c. Winston. Franklin.
