PROGRESS ON ROAD WORK
Steady progress is being made on the Lee and Jackson Highway on both sides of Auburndale. The road beyond Haines City is practically completed. Paving is nearly finished between Haines City and Lake Alfred and the asphalting plant is at work on that section of the road.
Work has now been begun on the road between Lake Alfred and Auburndale and a concrete culvert is now being put in at the water way beyond the Lynchburg crossing. The grading and claying between Auburndale and Lakeland is well under way and a long stretch this side of Carter's has clay already. All this makes us look for the early completion of our main thoroughfare east and west.-Auburndale Advocate.
