Board of Aldermen.
The Board met in regular session. The Chair presented the declination of the Board of Education to pay interests on principal of school bonds issued previously to May 1, 1873. Received and filed.
A resolution instructing the City Solicitor to take legal proceedings to stop the further extension of the Clifton Inclined Plane Railroad, was referred to the proper committee in connection with the City Solicitor.
Mr. Biddle presented a resolution authorizing the City Auditor to accept $100,000 preferred stock of the Covington & Lexington Railroad, as a compromise settlement of the claim of the city of Cincinnati against that road, the compromise to be accepted before the 6th of May. Adopted and adjourned.
