THE WASHOUTS.

Still Transferring Mail and Passengers—A Serious Accident at Rogers' Bend.

The first mail from the south and west over the A., T. & S. F. since Wednesday last came in at noon yesterday, having been transferred by teams across the washouts near Cerrillos. By similar means the break was crossed to-day, but by to-morrow night, after six days suspension of traffic, it is hoped to have the road bed in such condition that trains may cross. A spur has been built around the 100 foot break at Rogers' bend, and all work is to-day concentrated at Devil's point one mile below Cerrillos.

A telegram to the New Mexican from Cerrillos states that three railroad workmen, Doyle, McCulloch and Kehler were pretty badly injured last night by the overturning of a pile-driver at Rogers' bend.

Kehler's injuries are quite serious.
