Beth-Edenites turned out in swell numbers last Sunday, both at Sunday School and Worship services.
"Paul Admonishes the Church" was the subject of our lesson. Dea. W. E. Belser conducted Sunday school while Superintendent Edwards gave attention to other phases of church activities.
Foreign Mission Secretary Rev. John B. Falconer brought us the message. He was introduced by acting pastor, Rev. J. W. Derrick.
Rev. Falconer spoke from Ephesians 6:10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Subject: "Paul pleads for physical strength."
Outlines 1. There is a great warfare in progress. 2. The Christian's weapons in this warfare are not carnal. 3. Drawing that needed strength from Almighty God. 4. Using Christ, our captain, as our ideal.
Sunday night our supply pastor gave us a great message from the subject, "The promised doom on the shepherd who scattereth God's people."
Rev. Falconer left by train to Philadelphia for final arrangements to take his flight from New York City by plane December 19th for Liberia to carry on mission work.
