The regular meeting of the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture was held in the Court House, at Freehold, last Saturday afternoon and was attended by farmers from different parts of the county. The meeting was called to order by John R. Parker and C. B. D. Forman was appointed acting secretary, in the absence of D. Aug. VanDerveer. Daniel Jones and Wm. Moreau delivered reports of the New Jersey State Board of Agriculture. C. C. Hulsart and Garrett B. Conover delivered reports of the N.J. State Horticultural Society.
A talk by Prof. G. F. Warren, of New Brunswick, was given on spraying with special reference to potatoes, cantaloupes and other farm crops of this region. The lecture was illustrated with experiments. D. D. Denise and Holmes Dennis were appointed as a committee to conduct an experiment in spraying potatoes during the next season.
