On Saturday last a threatening Letter, demanding a Sum of Money to be left in a certain Place, with the usual Threats and Imprecations, was brought by a Fellow to an eminent Apothecary in Drury-lane.

The Fellow staid in the Shop 'til the Letter was read, on which he was immediately seized; at that Instant two other Fellows rush'd into the Shop, and pretending to be Bailiffs, arrested the Man who had brought the Letter, and would have forc'd him out of the Shop; but after a long Struggle they were all three secured, and carried before a Magistrate, who committed them to Newgate.
