Leg Broken Five
Years Ago Reset
by Local Doctors

Paul Thompson, a brother of Miss Ollie Thompson, chief operator for the telephone company, underwent a painful and delicate operation at St. Mary's hospital Saturday morning, having a bone in his right leg re-broken and re-set, after having suffered for five years from the malpractice of a physician in Cody, Wyo.

Thompson sustained the fracture in Wyoming a little more than five years ago, and ever since has suffered a good deal from the injury. The bone was poorly set and caused sharp pains continually. He came here to visit in November and the operation was decided upon recently when he decided to bear the pain no longer. The leg was cut open Saturday, and the bone examined. The fracture was re-set and strong silver plates were bound around the bone with silver wire.

It is thought the delicate operation will prove entirely successful. Mr. Thompson will be at the hospital at least a month.
