STRANGE DAMAGE SUIT

A Man and Wife Want $75,000 From Armour for Selling Them Unhealthy Pork.

Philip D. Armour was sued in the superior court at Chicago on the 10th in separate actions by Adam Magener and his wife Wilhelmine Magener, who charged that they were made ill with trichiniasis through eating pork from his establishment a year ago. The plaintiffs live at Grand Crossing, and bought the meat of a local butcher, who purchased it from Armour. Magener's sister was also made ill by eating the meat and died, and they claim to be only now recovering from their illness. Magener claims $50,000 and his wife $25,000 damages.
