MONDAY, MARCH 25, 1822.

will receive due attention.
Washington, March 23.
The Supreme Court, after a session of
seven weeks, and hearing all the causes
which were ready for argument, adjourned,
last evening, until the next term.
SUPREME COURT:
Thursday, March 21.
Mr. Justice Johnson delivered the opinion
of the Court in the case of Dorr against
the Pacific Insurance Company.-
Certiorari awarded. Mr. Justice Story
delivered the opinion of the Court in the
cases of Evans vs. Eaton, and Evans vs.
Hettick. Judgment affirmed.
Mr. Justice Johnson, Mr Justice Livingston,
and Mr. Justice Duvall, dissented.
The court affirmed the decree of the
court below, in the case of the United
States against the Irresistible, and quashed
the writ of error in the case of the Columbian
Insurance
Company against
Wheelright.
The cases of the Society for Propagating
the Gospel against the town of New-Haven,
(argued by Mr. Hopkinson for the plaintiffs,
and by Mr. Webster for the defender;) and
of Hunt against Rousmanier's Administrators,
(argued by Mr. Wheaton for the appellant,
and by Mr. Hunter for the respondents,)
were continued to the next term for advisement.
The Court established rules for the government
of the equity practice in all the Courts of
the United States, to take effect on the first
of July next.
