Bill for Medical Attendance on Late Joseph Hensler.
Trial of a suit for $20,000, brought by a physician against a rich brewer's estate, will be begun before Judge Heisley and a jury in the Supreme Court circuit tomorrow.
Dr. William O. Bailey is the physician, and he has retained Frederick W. Smith as his counsel to sue for the big amount named for medical services rendered to the late Joseph Hensler, jr., naming Arthur C. Hensler as executor of the estate as the defendant.
An attempt will be made to show the jury that Dr. Bailey's services were worth $20,000. They began in the spring of 1907 and ended in July of the following year, and include office attendance, board and lodging and traveling expenses for six months.
Joseph Hensler, jr., died in November, 1908, of a complication of diseases, and Dr. Bailey, who has been already paid for part of his services as medical adviser and attendant upon the brewer, was with him in his last illness.
Frank E. Bradner will defend the estate.
