Canadian Politics.—The Albany Register, noticing the proceedings of the Court lately held at Sandwich, in Upper Canada, correctly states the result in few words, as follows:

'An unsuccessful attempt was made at Sandwich, Upper Canada, on the 7th ult. to try the long pending cause between Lord Selkirk and the British North West Company. The grand jury rejected an indictment found against Lord Selkirk, at Fort William, for resisting legal process. The jury were three days occupied on a bill found against my Lord for a conspiracy to destroy the Company, without coming to any decision. Much confusion took place, and contempts and indignities were offered to the court. Both parties were dissatisfied. The noble Lord charged the judge with a partiality to the Company, and the other side recriminated by accusing his lordship with a connivance, bordering on bribery, with the jury.'
