Full Text

The Winona Times says: "The prospects of an abundant harvest next Fall were never better in these parts than at present. The crops are all that could be expected of them. The old lands have the appearance of having been fertilized so luxuriant are the crops of cotton and corn on them. Indications point to a great abundance of corn. Plenty was planted and the crop of all ages was never more promising. Our neighbors in Calhoun and Webster have harvested the best oat crop for years. In short everything is sweeping along in this part of the moral vineyard with the promise of plenty for all those who have labored in seed time. A few low bottoms may be injured, but the general condition is good."
