Boston, April 17.

Destructive Freshets—Great Loss of Breadstuffs.—The storm that visited our city yesterday, was the severest experienced for many years—all the railroads leading out of the city are more or less damaged. Several vessels have been sunk, and it is feared great destruction of life has taken place along the coast. The Worcester railroad is completely submerged and impassable: The episcopal church in Boston was lifted off its foundation, and many buildings, chimneys, &c., have been blown down.
