SAN FRANCISCO, May 7.-Warnings by a cable car conductor to lie flat on the floor or remain in their seats perhaps saved many passengers from serious injury today when a cable car dashed four blocks down the California street hill here today.
The car crashed into another car at the foot of the hill and one woman was injured perhaps fatally and approximately 125 other persons were hurt. After first striking a motor truck, the car continued its wild flight and struck another car that was stopping to unload office workers.
