Alderman Kunert?

Several citizens of Tolleston were in front of the Gary city hall just before the council went into session and when it convened some of them went in to see the steel city statesmen legislate.

Among those present were William Kunert and Town Trustee August Hecker. Whether they want to be the two new aldermen that the city council will name on account of the annexation of Tolleston, is hardly known. In any event it is hardly probable that they would decline the honor were it tendered them.
