The Fireworks which were lately exhibited at Paris, on account of the Dauphin's marriage, ended in a dismal catastrophe, by the crowd all pressing to get away at one and the same time.---Several persons of the first condition who were endeavouring to get to their carriages, were bruised and trodden under foot; and so great was the confusion, that coaches were overturned, and horses smothered; 137 dead bodies were exposed next day, to be owned. And such are the accounts of the bruised, who died after they were carried home, that upon a moderate computation, at least 200 persons lost their lives on this occasion.
