NEW CLARK COACH-Leonidas S. Epps, after two years of labor as assistant coach to Marion M. Curry finds himself holding the destiny of the Clark College Panthers. Epps was a Gold Rush athletic great at Xavier, New Orleans, and came to Clark College from Gilbert Academy in the Crescent City, after that church institution was liquidated. He is a skilled teacher of football and basketball with a long list of prep championships to his credit. He guided the Panthers to fourth place in the SIAC seasonal basketball standing and third-place in tournament play. Former Panther Coach Curry has returned to his native Texas. It is reported that he will study at the University of Texas. Epps should make good as head Panther pilot.
