Post Office Inspectors Searching for Bag Containing $15,000, Which Mysteriously Disappeared.
Pueblo, Colo.--A registered mail pouch, said to contain $15,000, is missing, and post office inspectors are quietly working on the case. The sack disappeared November 17, but the fact was kept quiet to facilitate the work of the inspectors.
The bag should have gone out on a Santa Fe train for the east, but whether it reached the train is not known.
The disappearance was reported by the mail agent on the train two or three days later.
Local officials believe the registered packages were stolen by some one not connected with the service before the pouch reached the train.
