Editorial Notes.
Vote the straight republican ticket.
No man can say aught against the honesty or integrity of W. H. Hardy. --Journal-Miner.
The Tucson Star refuses to print the Pima county democratic ticket at the head of its columns.
Grover Cleveland refuses to make an appointment of Chief Justice for this territory. --Journal-Miner.
"Old Honesty"--W. H. Hardy, will be re-elected as Joint Councilman by a large majority from this district. --Journal-Miner.
Delegate Bean was elected two years ago by a majority of over 1200. His majority this year will be 2000 not less we are much mistaken.
C. C. Bean is the choice of the people of this territory for Delegate to Congress and will be elected by an overwhelming majority. --Daily Tombstone.
The republican convention did wise act in nominating that old Arizona pioneer, W. H. Hardy, for Joint Councilman from the northern district. Mr. Hardy is known from one end of the district to the other and his name is a synonym for honesty wherever it is known. With men as W. H. Hardy in the halls of legislation, the interests of the people will be faithfully guarded. --Journal-Miner.
The northern district delegates have selected Hon. W. H. Hardy, of Mohave county, for Joint Councilman. Mr. Hardy's honorable career during his long residence in Arizona entitles him to the respect and esteem of the people of his district, regardless of politics. He is one of the early pioneers of the territory and has done good work in helping the way for civilization. It is a good selection and one that does credit to the judgment of the delegates. --Tucson Citizen.
Briggs Goodrich, Governor Zulick's candidate for the territorial council from Maricopa county, was more than C. L. Moson, editor of the Gazette could stand. The latter in retiring from the editorial management of that paper says: "I trust that my democracy, as displayed in the past may not be questioned, and I only object to voting for a man on the ticket who stands as good a show of going to the penitentiary as he does of being elected to the legislative council." --Phoenix Herald.
Cot C. C. Bean changed the political complexion of the territory two years ago, and he will erect a greater republican majority this year upon that foundation. The mere mention of his name creates the wildest enthusiasm among the people, which is a good indication of his popularity. --Tucson Citizen.
