Keep it before the People, that J. Neely
Johnson was one of the signers of the
"Secret Circular," of Crabb, Tingley
& Co.
Keep it before the People, that J. Neely
Johnson is largely interested in Mexican
grants, and consequently is the enemy
of the settler
Keep it before the People, that J. Neely
Johnson opposed Halleck's settler bill in
1853, and voted against it.
Keep it before the People that J. Neely
Johnson is a Whig of the old Federal
school, and is the nominee of a secret
order whose principles are proscriptive
of naturalized citizens, and of the Ro-
man Catholic faith.
Keep it before the People, that Know
Nothingism is a Whig organization, and
that J. Neely Johnson would, in the
event of his election, be controlled by
Whig influences, and throw the patronage
of his office into the hands of the
Whigs.
Keep it before the People, that the Know
Nothing Whigs are only fooling the De-
ocrats who join the order.

Nothing platform is a fraud on the peo-
ple and while it professes much, promises
nothing but the most barbarous proscrip-
