BOSTON, MARCH 30.

Yesterday, in the Supreme Judicial Court, Chief Justice Parker delivered the opinion of the Court, overruling the motion for a new trial of the indictment against Samuel Green, who was convicted of murder in the State-Prison, at the last term. The prisoner was then asked what he had to say, why sentence of death should not be pronounced on him?— When he replied, "that he did not suppose any thing he could say would do any good; that he had been sworn against falsely, by witnesses in a manner hired to testify against him; that if he had been permitted to offer such evidence, he could have produced 150 witnesses in his favour." Sentence of death was then pronounced on him.
