The Amsterdam gazette, of the 17th instant, under the head London, June 10th, after giving a particular account of the reversal of Mr. Wilkes's outlawry, and making very honourable mention of the conduct of Lord Mansfield, concludes thus: "This judge, a Scotchman by birth, hath removed the prejudices which divided the two nations, and hath treated this affair with equity and impartiality; which have so attracted to him the general affection that among the prodigious concourse of people assembled at Westminster and its environs nothing was heard but shouts of joy, with Mansfield for ever! Wilkes for ever!"
