Alfred Graham who was beaten by Joseph Francis at Estate Hogensborg on Sunday died shortly after 6 P. M. yesterday.

The municipal physician reported to the police that on Sunday night Graham had been received into the hospital in a serious condition having been struck in the face with a stone. Investigation by the police disclosed that there was a fight between the men and Judge Jackson fixed bail for Francis yesterday at $1,000. In the evening Graham died.

It was seldom that such violent crimes were committed in this island. We regret to see that only last week a man was given life sentence for murder and the court finds itself again occupied with another serious case.
