We hear from Newport, Rhode Island, that last week two French Dutch prizes were sent in there, one taken by Capt. Sweet in a privateer belonging to that place, viz. a sloop bound from Old France to the Cape, laden with dry goods, wine, &c. The other a large sloop bound from the Cape, laden with sugar, coffee and indigo, taken by Capt. Hansen in a privateer belonging to the West Indies, after a smart engagement, in which several were killed on both sides; Capt. Hansen had also taken two other prizes from the same place and sent them to New York.
