Medical Department of Georgetown College.—Georgetown College, that time-honored institution of learning, is at present, as usual, well supplied with scholars, having opened after the vacation with full classes. We observe that the lectures of the Medical Department are to be commenced on the first Monday in November, and continue till the first of March. The faculty numbers among its members some of the highest medical and surgical ability, insuring to students a thorough education in the profession. With hospital accommodations, ample supply of material and all things necessary for the purpose, the opportunities are unsurpassed for all branches of medical and surgical study. The institution is well known to rank among the first in the country, and is in a highly prosperous condition, as indeed so complete a Medical College should be.
