Swallowed A Nail.
It often sends a chill through the human body to learn how frail this life is and how easily it is snuffed out, but nevertheless, it is also equally as marvelous sometimes to know how life still sustains in many instances of accidents. A peculiar discovery was made Tuesday by Mrs. Hugo Naumann while dressing a duck for New Years dinner. When the gizzard was removed an eight penny wire nail was found completely penetrating it and the conditions of the nail as well as the gizzard proved that it had been there for sometime. The duck was large and fat and seemingly the eating of nails agreed with it.
