Capt. Bowers left Bordeaux the 27th May, a few days before he sailed, hand bills were published, containing an account of the capture of Bilboa, it was also reported that Barcelona was in the hands of the French. All sorts of provisions were plenty and cheap at Bordeaux, except flour and rice--flour had been at twenty Crowns a barrel, but was selling at 18--Beef had been sold at 7 dollars a barrel, but was rising again, and when Capt. Bowers sailed, was at 10 dollars--Assignats had almost done circulating--Crowns from 110 to 120 livres paper.
